Welcome to Deep Reef Gallery-where saltwater gamefish merge with fine art sculpture.

If you pursue salt-water gamefish, this is the site that immortalizes them. I create saltwater gamefish sculptures out of bronze. I fabricate masonry cut-nails out of silicone bronze and TIG weld them into life-sized marlin, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, mahi, tarpon, grouper, and snapper.. The masonry cut-nail has been the workhorse of the construction industry for close to a century binding lumber to concrete. I've found another use for them. I create half-mount and full-mount sculptures for the discriminating angler that has an appreciation for fine art. The full-mount sculptures can escape the wall and hang from the ceiling. If you are interested in one-of-a-kind saltwater gamefish sculptures that are weather-resistant, you came to the right place.

      taxidermy vs fine art sculpture

Are you looking for a world-class fish-mount? I ask you to consider an alternative to taxidermy fish-mounts. I offer an artistic conversation piece that is bronze fine art in a one-of-a-kind sculpture. Immortalize your prized catch in a bronze nail sculpture that captures the detailed physiology of the species combined with my artistic impression. Can a grouper carry dinner forks? Does that snapper have a eyebrow? Why not trim out the tarpon and marlin with circle hooks on the gill plate to honor them? The masonry cut-nail has regained it's prominence as the building block of my artwork in a corrosion-resistant alternative, and a stunning representation of the pelagics and reef-dwellers at Deep Reef Gallery.
